Quan Luu: I’m Quan Luu. I’m Director of Zoomdata Labs. I’ve been here since November 2014. Before Zoomdata I wasspending about 16 years at AOL. The company was looking for an analytics solution to provide reporting analytics for the advertising platform.
I found Zoomdata on the web. I downloaded and I was surprised by the usability of the tool. One day one of the Zoomdata employee pinged me looking for a solution architect.
So, the recruiter called me up while I was having enough on my hand. I have two jobs. This one was to go with a big company and have (inaudible) time over there or join this other company and I knew I would regret not joining this other company.
If you have an idea you can prove its value, you can move fast and you can make it happen. Big data allows users the access to insights to make better decisions. So, all of this together inspired me to look at the big data space and see how we can make it easier for anybody, not just for the data scientist or for the (inaudible) but for everybody to gain insights into big data to be able to learn.
I like Zoomdata because we are constantly using modern technology and as technology change we also have to learn and adapt and that’s what make it just more interesting. I also like Zoomdata because we have a culture of innovation. Not only do we innovate the product and help sell but we also empower users and customers to innovate on their own based on our product features.
It is such an exciting time to be a technologist. We have more data around us then before and we have an opportunity to use data and technology to (inaudible).
